Motion in Two Dimensions
Honors Physics - Unit 3
This unit starts with vectors. Before we can work any two-dimension kinematics problems, we must understand the math.
After that, it’s all about PROJECTILES.

Classwork
Intro to Projectile Motion (online lab)
Click here for the Vernier Video Analysis software.
Projectile Motion Notes (day 1)
I skipped around on the notes in both blocks (4 & 5) so BOTH set of notes are posted on the google drives.
Work on Projectile Motion RING OF FIRE lab.
Homework (Due the next class unless otherwise noted.)
Positive Physics 4.5 (#1 and 2 ONLY)
Positive Physics 4.9
Do you want to practice more projectile motion problems? Check out this interactive. Choose your own height, angle, etc….solve for unknowns (like time or displacement in x-direction) then fire cannon and see if you were correct. As long as Air Resistance is off, mass & diameter do NOT matter.
Be ready to LAUNCH!
PosPhysics 4.13 - For #2, can you derive (solve for) equations for time and range where the only unknowns are theta and Vi? Once you have an equation, use Desmos or calculator to simply plug in Vi and theta.

ALSO: On PosPhysics, if you change “MODE” to Extra Practice instead of Work, you will be able to rework some assignments.
PosPhysics 4.14 (As you are working these problems, think about WHY the answer is the answer. What info about projectile and free-fall motion can you use to find the answer?)
PosPhysics 4.15 is optional but recommended.
Test on projectile and free fall motion.
Quiz on Projectile Motion
We will begin the Projectile Motion RING OF FIRE lab.
