By the end of the unit you will be able to:
Identify and classify experimental variables as independent, dependent or controlled.
Make qualitative (non-mathematical) predictions about the relationship between variables.
Record the procedure used to gather data from the apparatus.
Write a complete lab report about an experiment.
Construct and label a data table.
Select appropriate measuring devices.
Use metric units, conversions and prefixes.
Perform calculations using an appropriate number of significant figures.
