Our hope with this program is that you also begin to learn skills that may be useful if you attend a college or university and wish to join a research lab. No course, including this one, could train you for every lab across all scientific disciplines; rather, this should serve as a foundation for future understanding. Ultimately, these skills are not about learning how to use a particular instrument or method, they are to help you get more comfortable with doing independent research. That comfort just takes time.
