  4. I know how to write Lewis structures for polyatomic ions.

  5. I know the how to calculate formal charges and how to use them to determine the quality of Lewis structures.

  6. I know the characteristics of single, double, and triple bonds.

  7. I know what resonance is and I can present a molecule with resonance correctly.

  8. I know how to use VSEPR theory to identify the electron geometry and the molecule shape.

  9. I know the three intermolecular forces, their characteristics, and their effects.

  10. I can identify the intermolecular forces of a molecule.

  11. I know what a heating curve is and I can use it to calculate heating and cooling problems.
